LEGAL

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Video2Guitar processes when you use the website and how that information is used. It is intended as a clear product policy and should be reviewed with legal counsel before a large-scale commercial launch.

Information we process

  • Account information: your name, email address and securely hashed password.
  • Lesson information: YouTube links you submit, generated lesson analyses, saved songs and practice progress.
  • Technical information: necessary server logs, security events and diagnostics used to operate and protect the service.

Why we use this information

We use the information to create and save practice sheets, restore your progress, authenticate your account, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors and improve the service.

AI and external services

Submitted public YouTube lesson links and relevant lesson content may be processed by an AI provider to create a structured musical analysis. Embedded YouTube videos are delivered by YouTube and may be subject to Google’s privacy terms. Do not submit private, confidential or unlawfully shared material.

Storage and retention

Account and lesson data are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain security. Operational logs may be retained for a shorter period.

Your choices and rights

You may remove saved lessons through the product. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete personal information. Contact the service operator using the contact details published with the commercial launch.

Security and children

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. The service is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
